Our story

At Vulcan Boatworks, we believe boats should be more than vessels.. they should be legacies. Born from a passion for craftsmanship and an obsession with performance, we build boats that honour timeless design, while embracing innovation. 

After looking at what else was on the market, our founder Felix wasn't satisfied, New Zealand built boats, while being known for their construction quality, leave a lot to be desired aesthetically.

After years of building and designing boats for other manufactures, Felix decided to focus on bringing his own vision to life, where his ideas and creativity weren't constrained. 

While others recycled fleeting trends or produced boats that resembled floating houses, Felix looked to the enduring elegance of American Carolina–style vessels. He embraced their proven deep‑V deadrise mono‑hull and graceful, flared bow, then reinterpreted those lines into something designed for New Zealand's demanding coastline. And Vulcan Boatworks was born.
